School Policies
At SSD we understand the importance of safe dance practice, our legal obligations as an educational establishment and pride ourselves in staying up to date with the latest training, qualifications and Insurances.
For your piece of mind all SSD staff are required to to hold an enhanced DBS check and complete a Paediatric First Aid training course, alongside a minimum Level 2 in Safeguard training (depending on position) every 3rd year. We ask all our Staff to complete an Autism Awareness course when they first join and advise them to keep this updated every 5th year. Our Teaching staff are also trained and qualified in their specific genres via the boards we teach and develop in our classes, and attend regular training courses to keep themselves up to date with the latest updates, syllabus changes, music and style trends.
